Cylindrical (Dowel) or Parallel pins are used either to retain parts in a fixed position or to preserve alignment. A few of them are illustrated above. Type A,B,C & D are unhardened and from C-40 (EN-8) material.Our manufacturing range for Cylindrical (Dowel) Pins is 2mm to 25 mm in diameter and 5 mm to 150 mm in length.Type E is hardened from Silver Steel material.
Interal Threaded Cylindrical (Dowel) Pin are for easy extraction, from blind holes. They are manufactured in soft condition (Type G) from C-40 material. Hardened Pins (Type F) are manufactured from case hardened alloy steel or as per buyers requirement. Air Vent may be provided
Parallel Dowel Pins (Cylindrical Pins)
Two types : A & B
Type - A. (Soft) Standard : I.S.2393 - 1972 & DIN-7 Conforms to the above standards using C-40 material ground to m6 tolerance in soft condition.
Application : In production assembly.
Type "A" (Hardened) Standard :- B.S. 1804 Grade 1 out of EN 1 A Steel case-hardened 50/55 R.C. with min.case-depth 0.020" and ground to m6 tolerance.
Type - B Standard : Din 6325 & I.S.-6689 -72 out of steel material hardened to R.C.58/62,
and ground to m6 tolerance. Superior to type A hardened.
Application :- In jigs & fixtures and press tools.
SOLID TAPER PINS
Standard :- I.S. 6688-72, Din-1 for mm pins. (1:50 taper) B.S.S. 46 class A for inch sizes
(1:48 taper) Full straight line taper on the surface is consistently maintained by the accurate
grinding and rigid inspection.
